School Funding

A main responsibility of school board directors is to approve the school district budget, and I recognize the importance of being a good steward of taxpayer dollars. I am proud that while many school districts are facing budget deficits, I approved a balanced budget. 

I am also grateful for the community's support of the local school support levy that allows us to continue to provide extra academic support for our students as well as a provide and wide range of extracurriculars. Central Kitsap does not charge fees to participate in athletics, and I am proud that we have been able to remove that barrier for our students, because of the support of our community.
